This Privacy Policy was last modified on 4/9/2015 and is part of our Terms of Use (you know, the policy you read about 4 minutes ago and have already forgotten the content of…except the lawyer line, that was funny I know.)
Limestone Coast Wines Pty Ltd operates thehiddensea.com. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site so listen up. We do care about your privacy just as much as you do, who doesn’t internet shop these days? We get it.
We may be friends now but we don’t want access to what you downloaded last week. As such we use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. This means we will not disclose information about you to third parties except where it is part of providing a service to you – look it’s all about you in this instance. But we have to remind you, that when using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information Collection And Use
While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. No, we don’t mean your first pet’s name. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name (“Personal Information"), date of birth, address details and whatever else we decide we need to know to make sure your experience with us continues to be amazing. Ok, give us your French Bulldog’s name.
Log Data
Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data" – IT it’s a whole other language, those mates fit in the same kind of category as your lawyer ones).
This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics (again, it’s all about making sure we are giving you the best site possible otherwise we really don’t need to know this stuff).
We may also in certain instances, disclose your personally identifiable information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify you, contact you, or bring legal action–which is really fun and expensive!—to protect your rights or the rights of Limestone Coast Wines Pty Ltd or others.
We may also disclose your personally identifiable information when you ask us to do so or when we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable laws, police investigations, or in legal proceedings where disclosure of such information is relevant and permitted by law. That’s it really, if that is still scary it’s because it is supposed to be – blame the lawyers again.
Social Media Interaction
We are totally cool with you “sharing” your likes with your friends using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. in fact, let’s be honest we will love you for it. But if you choose to use these tools, you may be sharing certain “profile elements”, including your “comments”. This sharing is subject to each social media program’s privacy policies, which means you may have to read another policy just like this one – haven’t you got wine to drink or waves to catch? Does anyone really know what they’re giving up anymore anyway? Isn’t that a question to ponder with your mates over a bottle of The Hidden Sea?
Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, we are using secure sockets layer (ssl) to encrypt it (check if we are I assume so!) but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. So basically, I can write as many pages as I like about our desire to protect your privacy but the bottom line is___ it’s the Net buddy, you are going to have to deal.
Cookies
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier – that has to be the first time you heard that explained properly; seriously it’s the first time I got it. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive. Like many sites, we use "cookies" to collect information again so we can help look after you better – honestly why else would we bother with this level of intricate IT knowledge? We make wine and like hot designed things. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site. And again, our designers thought long and hard about how cool this site is to look so don’t muck it up for them.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
Limestone Coast Wines Pty Ltd may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes – hey whatever floats your boat we won’t judge.
Wow, I think that just about covers all we have to – if you are still scrolling well done. You are either one of those really diligent types I wish I knew at university or simply need to find more things to do with your time my friend – there are waves, wine, loud restaurants that don’t take bookings, urban design stores, mint julips, food markets, trips to Myanmar, life ....do I need to keep going? I’m glad we got through this together just remember….”The Hidden Sea, once it takes hold loses one it’s net of wonder for ever”
