For each case sold, we will remove the equivalent of 60 (1 kilogram) plastic bottles from our ocean and recycle them.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS
Good winter rains and a warm spring resulted in a fantastic start to vintage. A series of very warm weather events put pressure on the early growing season, but the well managed vineyards made it through. A vintage of two halves; the first half of heat waves put pressure on winemakers and viticulturists alike, the second half allowed fruit to be picked at the optimum flavour ripeness.
WINEMAKING
Fermented over 10-12 days in stainless steel at cooler temperatures
to retain fruit vibrancy and plushness, aged on a generous helping of American
and French Oak.
COLOUR
Intense, vibrant magenta.
AROMA
Lashings of raspberry cola, violets and spicy gingerbread oak.
PALATE
Mouth watering, juicy red fruits coupled with vanilla-bourbon oak and a
voluptuous, velvety tannin structure.
