A long, even growing season with occasional heat spikes gave richness to the resulting wines without losing elegance. The warm daytime temperatures and lack of rainfall produced a vintage that allowed our winemakers and viticulturists to pick fruit at the optimum flavour ripeness.
Fermentation completed in a stainless steel fermenter for 10 days. Pressed onto 1g/L of French Oak (Cuvee Series No 1 ) chips. Matured on oak for 4 months. Blended with 10% of mixed white wine (pinot gris and riesling) to help soften tannins.
